Family Law Conference

Thank you from the 13th National Family Law Conference
of the Family Law Section

On behalf of the Organising Committee, I would like to thank all delegates who attended our Conference. We had 860 delegates and 105 accompanying persons. The feedback which we have received from many delegates indicates that everyone seemed to have a thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile week. We were treated to some splendid Adelaide Autumn weather, which contributed greatly to the enjoyment of many of the social functions.

I would like to particularly thank all of the speakers, commentators and chairs who gave so willingly of their valuable time to make such an important contribution to the education of their fellow family lawyers. It reflects extremely well on our profession when we can enjoy the unselfish support of Judges, Federal Magistrates, Registrars, practitioners and other professionals (such as psychiatrists, accountants, actuaries and social scientists) who are prepared to willingly give their time and expertise in this way.

I trust everyone who attended the Conference will have long, warm and happy memories of their week in Adelaide. My Committee have enjoyed presenting the Conference to all of you. We look forward to renewing our acquaintance in Canberra in October 2010.
